More than 1/3 of the nearly 8 million dogs annually euthanized in the United States are dumped there by their "protectors," the losers they trusted, their owners and families.  The chances of them being adopted are slim.

With shelters full, they are the first to die.

A dog dies every eight seconds in a shelter somewhere, shaking and scared, waiting desperately to be saved by somebody, anybody.  Most of them don't even have names anymore.

They have only their dignity.

Little Snaz, Chattanooga Mazzy, Houston Bob and Preston County Petal

All were unwanted and all euthanized alone at Municipal Shelters waiting for someone to come for them

Remember too these brave kids, dying at shelters just hoping and waiting patiently for someone to come for them.  It doesn't seem too much to ask.
