We please to announce that Igor Loy has joined the household here in Maryville with a bunch of little bros and a big sister named Roxanne.   Roxy is the queen bee and all the others know it.

Here's the crowd.   That's the boss on the right.   ;-)

We're delighted to announce that little Rita Lynn (Weedy) has been adopted and has moved to Virginia with her new parents, Andy and Kara.

Weedy is a special little girl and we miss her here.    She's a very unique little girl both in markings (has a diamond on the top of her little punkin head) but she also does a little dance, side to side when she's happy and smiling.   We're hoping for new pics soon.

We're very pleased to announce that Miss Lady Belle has been adopted from "Boston Farms," Uncle Ron's Atlanta Foster home and will be staying in Atlanta.

She's such a happy little lady and we're so happy for her too.

We're pleased to announce that Mr. Smitty Bojangles has been adopted and has moved to the big city of Hot'lanta to become a condo tower dweller.

He's a happy little guy and we're hoping for some new pics as soon as possible.

Little Bella Ann, a Georgia peach, has moved to Knoxville TN and now has a little brother.

She has settled in quickly and her momma Marilyn says she's become a daddy's little girl already.

Capt Jack (now Lee) and Davy Jones (now Mo) have been adopted and the boys are settling in nicely.  They are 1 1/2 year old little brothers and it was so important that they stay together.

They are comfortable enough to spend time apart from each other.  While Mo is in their new bed suckling the leg of the cat on the blanket you sent with them, Lee is keeping Curtis' chair warm for him while he showers.  They are just great dogs.

 Rusty

We have some new pics of the Po Bros and little friend from North Carolina.    The fence is finished and it's great.

Gypsy's flying lessons are coming along great and I should get her flying solo by the end of June.  Ha. On a serious note, things are great with her. Bathroom breaks are like clockwork now.  She is really developing a personality and it makes our day to watch her in her element.  She is a blessing and very comforting to have around and I am certain she feels the same about us.

We've had her on the boat several times as you saw with the pictures Cheryl sent and she is loving it.  She tried her new life jacket out last Sunday as she jumped into the lake as we were floating in a cove and learned a quick lesson of getting too close to the water.  Take care.

Hi Joe!

Wendell Leo is tight up against me on my bed right now -- snorrring away (I say to him, "Aw! Did all that sleeping make you sleepy?" lol)

Here's a picture of Wendell on his bed (he has long graduated since this picture to sleeping on my bed!) -- but he still likes to use this bed when he plays with his toys.

The rest of the pictures are of us on the training course for our obedience class. Wendell did incredibly well given his short attention span haha.

I'll have to check out the page :-)

Take care,
Olivia

We have some new pics of Max McCarley and his bud Missy.

They are avid nature watchers and according to Glenn, there have been no more of the ugly duck and water incidents reported before.

:-)

Hi Joe,

Smoky (aka: BJ Kelley) has been doing great.  He graduated from a training program at the GA Dog Gym where he learned how to sit, stay, come and heel.  I took him jogging with me a few times and he ran with me at the perfect pace.  However, I've stopped jogging because I go to a gym now, but we walk Smoky and Suki every day.  It's their favorite part of the day.

Andrea, Smoky, Suki and I are planning a trip to the Smoky Mountains in June.

Neal

[Note from joe: see bottom pic.   Looks like the little boy still has an ice cream fetish, especially when he thinks nobody else is looking  ;-)  ]

We were at a barbecue and Scooter and Ziva had 3 other dogs to run around the yard with and they all had such a great time.  In the evening all the dogs were so pooped out – Ziva crawled up on the bench and Scooter climbed on top of Ziva, laid down and went to sleep.  We then covered them up with a towel as it was a little chilly.  Everyone at the barbecue loved it and them.

I included a picture I took of a friend and on the right you can see 4 of the 5 dogs.  I also included a separate picture of the 5th dog.   They all were running around so much we couldn’t get a picture of all together.

Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we did.  These two are an amazing pair J

This is an old pic of when Peanut and Foxy Po were still in jail but we're very, very pleased to announce that the Po brothers are back together again.

Maybe their parents will send us some pics of the two boys together.

Below is a new pic of the little dude Peanut Po.

We are very pleased to announce the adoption of Mr. Bubba Baker in Stone Mountain GA.

His momma Betty had been fostering the little guy and it turned out he was home after all.   We're hoping for some new pics as soon as possible.

Here's the happy little man Bubba

Donna has sent us a peculiar picture from the Cartersville foster home of two Boston Terriers investigating the potential sighting of some sort of alien from another planet.

Good Nite, Billy Kid.  Sleep tight.

We are very pleased to announce the adoption of Miss Missy now known as Scruffy, a beautiful little girl.  This cute little girl is now living in Evans, GA with her proud parents.

They said:

Here is the newest member of our family.  We changed her name to Scruffy because it seemed to fit her "do".

She's a little sweety and can't seem to get enough kisses.  Caliber and Peanut are getting used to her and the Nut is

even sleeping next to her on the bed.  We also discovered her three favorite words are treat, supper and breakfast.

Joe,
Here are pics of Kitty Kat and her friend Logan.  She started her training today and did very well with walking, but not so great with sit.  She's working on it.  The others dogs were all really big, she was the only little girl.  She set them in their place though.  So funny.

Hi Joe,
Leo now Wendell is absolutely amazing! I was just thinking of you last night because he and our other Boston Maisy graduated from obedience training.

And he took first place! No joke -- he's a well-trained boy now! He gets into all kinds of mischief -- he's become a little Mountain Goat who thinks he should sit at the table in a chair during dinner and loves playing with our other dogs. He's incredibly fond of Isaac our dane/lab mix -- he likes to snuggle with him on the couch.

He's incredibly food driven -- he thinks he should get a cookie for eating his dinner! All of his pee/poop problems worked out. His eye has been looking a little red lately -- I've been doing drops habitually but he needs to go back for the pressure test.

The vet thinks his eye will eventually have to be removed but it's a day at a time. He is WONDERFUL and my entire family is absolutely in love with him. I will be sending you pictures of him on the obstacle course very soon. :-)

Take care,
Olivia

Here's Beau, Fergie and their man Scott at the organ.

Wonder if the kids sing?

Hi there, great to hear from you.  Yes, I have lots of pictures and "Mr. Bigs" is doing great.  He has many nicknames, Mr. Bigs, Biggy, Mr. Beg's.  He is, as we say in this family, "re-dog-ulous"!.  We love him to pieces.  He thinks he's a lap dog.  Whenever anyone sits in the recliner, he climbs aboard.

He's afraid of thunder and lightening.  He's just a big, old baby!  And, by the way, you were so right about the underground fencing.  We bought it and it works wonders!  Here are some great pics.

As you can see, he's bigger than I am!

Katherine

Hey Joe,
Things are going pretty well.  Dook has had a little trouble with his back knee joint (it pops in and out sometimes).

I put the heat on it for him.  He seemed to like it!
Hope you all are okay.
Darla

Joe,

Glori is doing well.  She is very attached to Tom.  She gets along well with our other dog, but not too well with any other dogs that come around.  She snaps at them.  We are working on that.  She loved playing in the snow.   See pic.

 See ya,

Jill

Roxie had a B-day last week and the whole family was there to enjoy.   Heather is VERY proud !!!

Take a look....

Hi Joe,

We haven’t sent an update on Jackson (a.k.a. Durango Pete) in a while, so . . .

Jackson spent the month of February and first week of March at Wrightsville Beach, NC and missed the 40 inches of snow we had in Watauga County during those weeks.

Now that it’s spring, Janine got a really nice portrait of Jackson relaxing in the cove forest that is our “yard.”

Hope all is going well. We tell everyone who asks (and many who don’t) how great East Tennessee Boston Rescue is and use Jackson as proof.

Frank

PS Jackson has become quite a player with toys, something he had to learn over his first year with us. As I am writing, he has a rabbit, a snake, an armless monkey, an elephant, a football, and his favorite chipmunk spread out on the rug around him.

We have some new pics of Duhon (Keegan) and he's doing very well in his new home.   Sure beats being stuck in Sweetwater, TN, huh little guy?

Here's Mister Blue Eyes with his bud

We have some new pictures from Pokey Doke's new daddy Mike and his big sister JJ hound dog (who gets a little annoyed with Pokey's antics from time to time.

If you know anything about Mr. Pokey, you know why.

Well, it didn't take long for Miss Ruby to find a new home with a wonderful couple in Tallahassee.

Meet

Abby, Steve, and Ruby !!!!!!!!!!!!

We are already so in love with our sweet girl (we renamed her Ruby).  She feels like a perfect match for our family, and she's so darn lovable. It's obvious that she just really wants to please and craves affection. She conked out in her crate about 30 minutes ago and is snoozing peacefully. I almost hated for her to go to sleep--I can't get enough cuddles! Steve snapped the attached pictures, and we'll send you a "family" shot when we can get someone to take a picture with all three of us.

Abby

Dan was kind enough to send some pics of Gracie Lynn, now living at his mom's house.

"She's enjoying being a country dog and finding new laps to sit in and new people to pet her. And people to lick. That's a pretty good description.

Pretty and dignified and spoiled. :-)"

Dan

We're very pleased to announce that Miss Kitty Kat Blake has been adopted and has moved to Virginia with her momma.

"Here's a pic of Kitty this morning on our walk.  She had a good evening and slept curled up right next to me all night.  She's such a good little girl.  She's getting adjusted and met the walker today.  She'll be coming to walk her around noon each day.  I'm getting her crate today so she will be in it during the day and won't be able to reush the door when the walker comes or when I come home.
Talk later,"
Lin

We have some new pics from Billy Kid's daddy of Billy doing some Boston stuff, like carrying the bone.

Jim thinks it'll be tennis balls next.   Maybe both at the same time?

He's also a hit at PetsMart where they know his name.

And, resting.

Heather has sent us some pics of the family at her house.   Look familiar?

Mister Benny Goodman has been adopted and has moved to Atlanta.

Here's a note from his new parents:

It was great meeting you today!  Benny is an absolute doll and has made himself right at home.  My parents met him today and my mom fell in love with him.  He is so sweet and we are all in love with him.  My mom is asking if she can have him.  She is retired and is at home all day, they have a fenced in backyard and hardly travel.  Benny is already so loved and is being spoiled rotten.  He will be the center of our universe and we couldn't be happier.

Thank you for rescuing him and giving us the opportunity to love him and provide a forever home.

Susan

I would like to introduce you all to Scooter – our newly adopted Boston Terrier Rescue – He is approx 7 mo’s old.  Was taken from a family for not caring for him – he had a terrible case of mange and was not being treated so animal control took him.  Doug and I saw him on the local BTR website and fell in love with him.  I did not tell my husband when we got approved and surprised him on his birthday.  He was thrilled.  Ziva is finally out of her depression and the 2 dogs spar and play all day long.

Amazingly, or maybe not – Buddy’s ashes were delivered to me the day before I picked up Scooter.  I believe Buddy was here to welcome him home and show he accepted him.

I will stay in touch and hope all are doing well !!!

 Leslie

Hi Boston T Rescuers,

I’m remiss for not updating you, but I’ve had little time and a small rememberer that’s in need of repair.

Carrie Sue continues to delight us EVERYDAY. She’s the happiest dog I’ve ever seen and we love her to death! I’ve attached a few pics, but I’ll have more action shots to come, because if you’ve met this dog, you’ll know she’s special. “K-Soo,” as we now call her, loves her companion Jack, and they love to spar in the backyard. She has become such a physical specimen! She and Jack fenced a possum a few weeks ago and she knocked the possum off to the other side of the fence. The girl’s got hops! To say she’s athletic is a huge understatement!

But the best part is her sweet personality, and she is so smart! We know why Heather had to leave w/tears in her eyes as we took Carrie Sue away from Camp Bow Wow. She is the BEST companion and is always ready to sit and talk, take a nap or play. This dog knows how to snuggle-in like nobody’s business – you’d think she was trained. My teenage girls absolutely love her and she’s so polite and easy going, although she has a threatening bark when aroused by a door bell or door knock – and that’s fine with us!

I’ll send more pics later (from another camera), but I just wanted to let you guys know how much we appreciate what you do and facilitating our adoption of this sweet dog who’s blessed our family!

Thanks again,

Howard, Kayla & Katie

Remember Major's favorite toy, Mr Skunk?

Well, Major heard that skunks can make worse smells than he can so Mr Skunk is no longer a danger to our house!

Ardy

Little Minnie Mae Mouse has been adopted and her new daddy Jeff is very proud of her.

We'll have some pics to show off (right under here) as soon as Jeff gets them to us.   We suspect Minnie's foster momma Megan is delighted as well.

We're saddened to report from Sirah's momma that she didn't make it.  She passed away quietly in her sleep, apparently content to know that she WAS already in her forever home with Melissa.

They were both dumped at the same time.   Sirah is looking after Melissa now, waiting patiently for her at the Bridge.

Tricksey Bruce's owner was 84 years old and fell and broke her hip and had to go into rehab for 6-8 weeks.  She was given to her by her daughter so the daughter tried to keep her but had 2 pit bulls who didn't like the dog so she contacted Boston Terrier Rescue and decided the best place for her would be a new home.

Tricksey was already fully vetted and was temporarily placed in a boarding facility until she was picked up by a local rescue group for Boston Terrier Rescue.  This group had an elderly gentleman whose wife had to go into a nursing home and had recently lost his Boston due to old age and they were already trying to find him a dog.

So this situation seemed to help everyone, so the rescue person took Tricksey by to meet him and they instantly bonded.  Within a two-week period, the adoption application was completed, the home visit was completed and Tricksey went to her new home where she is very happy and content, as a Boston should be!

Miss Amber Rose has been adopted and now has two big brothers to look after her small self along with her momma, Michelle.

Amber is an epi puppy and will be participating in some exciting research into a special diet rather than the usual meds treatment.   It's an exciting time.

Mr. Pokey Dokey was adopted last weekend and he's moved to Virginia with his new family and new older sister JJ.

As anybody who knows Poke knows, he's a very special Boston Terrier and can be prone to get himself into trouble.   Counter surfing is a common (although probably untrue) complaint as well as just being, well, a little turkey.

We're expecting new pics this week.

We're very pleased to announce that pretty little Panda Manda has been adopted and her new daddy Mike is soooooooo proud of her.    We're expecting new pics as soon as he can get it done.

(Her Aunt Susie is very proud of her too).

;-)

Many Bostons are "truck dogs," little kids who travel all over the US living and sharing a big rig with a Professional Driver.   They're the buddies, the side kicks, the shotgun riders, the little people who keep them company.

This is Steve, a bud in Knoxville along with his kids Mr Peanut, Yaya, Lexi, and Datsun.

Sing it Willie.......   "On the road again.........."

We have a new pic of Sarge.   Doesn't he look like handsome Boston Terrier?

He's feeling pretty good now and loves his new family.   ;-)

Grandfather Dog, Mr. Suds Greene, his family and sister Sissy came to visit Tennessee this week.   It was a five-six year absence for Suds and I believe he was happy to visit.

His family is very, very attached to him and he is to them as well as his sibs.

Sudsy had his gizzard "worked on" recently and lost a whole pound but he's feeling pretty froggy now and sporting a handsome scar on this tummy.

I took Sirah to the vet Thursday and GOOD News...  The vet said that he believes she is only about 10 years old and other than some joint problems she is in pretty good health.

Got her yearly shots done.  She weighs 15 pounds.  She and I drove to North Carolina Friday to visit my daughter and grand daughter.  She did good on the trip and is learning to walk on a leash - we had a fenced yard at the house and I didn't have to worry about it.  But all in and all she and I are doing okay.

Melissa

Primo is my adult daughter's dog and he's 8.5 years old and he's very special.

Primo passed away Saturday May 8 and he will be missed terribly.   His suffering is now gone and he waits patiently at the Bridge with so many others.

Deborah

A Couple little "door" videos here from Claudia - the Mugman Cometh, and the Mugman Goeth....

We've all seen this.

Cometh

and

Little Yoko Seago has -gone to the rainbow bridge 4/28/2010 where he waits patiently for his mommie

He will always be loved and remembered.

Billy Jack Shultz passed away this week in Knoxville.

Billy Jack is one of the founding fathers of Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN, a "grandfather" dog and very special.   He was the uncle who raised Job and taught him to play with milk jugs, food bowls and anything else that could be chased around the yard.

He was a Dog's Dog and more importantly, he was a Boston Terrier Dog.

Billy joins his other Shultz kids who've gone ahead at the Bridge where Chris is waiting for him. with them.

Michelle,
Buster Kurou (Magee) is doing real well. He follows me evrywhere and like you said-loves to ride in the car. He sleeps next to me and the other dog at night and mostly next to me on the recliner when I watch TV. He loves his food and is eating very well. He had some hook worms when my Vet looked at him but he got medicine and is doing just fine.

He's learned his yard boundaries but I still always watch him and my other dog when they go to the bathroom. He walks with me on leash around the neighborhood because I don't want him messing with other dogs. He gets along ok with the dogs except for one. For some reason he just does not like that dog. He loves his rubs and gets plenty of scratches also. He and I are good buddies. In fact as I write this email, he's bugging me to scratch his head.

My foster boston, Jackson, went into a status seizure today and stopped breathing. The vet did everything she could to bring him back, but it was not to be. We learned that he had had a few seizures in his former foster home and began having them here about a month ago.

Last week he went into a bout of cluster seizures that had to be stopped by the ER vet. He was doing great until this morning. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to find him having another episode of the clusters. I don't know how long he had been doing it before I got up. He went back to the ER vet to stop them, then over to our vet for observation and phenobarb levels.

However, about an hour after we left him he left us.
Jackson, aka Stretch, for his amazing counter-surfing skills, was about 4 years old, very tall and lean and always looked like he'd been on a two-week bender. He had a hard life, and was apparently abused and starved before he went into rescue with East TN. BTR at Whispering Farms.

He came to us about two months ago. He was a happy fellow who loved to drag blankets all over the house, play with toys and sunbathe. Like all Bostons, he was a joy, a pleasure to have around, a love bug and a pain in the ass all rolled into one. His life had much value and he had much to offer. We will miss him very much. Please consider a donation in his memory at bostonterrierstn. org.

Laura and Alan

I am eternally grateful to the Myers family to take in a little boy nobody else wanted and make him part of their family.   I know Jackson appreciates it too as his little spirit settles in now, at his forever home.  He got himself adopted after all.

I have with me the sweetest boy I could ever imagine.  I cannot thank you all enough for all the help and coordination to get Sargie Boy here to Maryland.  So far so good - even my autistic son, Jarrett, has petted him (I'm so excited!), and we've started working on the housebreaking (great excuse to clean the floors! :)

Again, thank you all so much!

Sincerely,

Malinda

Here's little Monk.

Things were a hoppin yesterday at Boston Farms, just the day before the Easter Bunny stops by to hide eggs behind the shed.

Well there was this here young upstart Boston down south a piece, of Boston Farms, , so Uncle Ron goes to a trekkin’ there and brings him home.

No sooner than he arrived and hadn’t even met the other ranch hands, these two fellers from Decatur, came a bustin in, the next things we know Mr. Monk was heading to a new home.

Darn near the fastest draw the other ranch hands ever seen in these parts.

Some boys have all the luck!  He's now part of the Curlin family of Decatur, GA

Mr. Billy Kid went to his forever home this past weekend to his new daddy Jim and his grandmother in Maryland.   It was a special trip for Billy.   Take a look at how he got there !!!

We're hoping for some new pics as soon as Jim can do it.

We have some new pics of Mr. Sam Bell.    His daddy says "Sam isn't good for to many action shots, if you want pictures of him sleeping I can send plenty of them."

Sleeping is about the only time a Boston holds still.

Mr. Oliver turned 11 years old and there was a party at the Sanctuary in him special honor.   Here's Oliver, Grandpa, Granny and (of course) their Granny

We have a couple new very good pics of Miss Coco aka Fruitee Baker.

That's a Boston smile.

Miss Gypsy and her dad and big brother on the boat. They are serious about the boating thing!

Cheryl

We have some new pics of Mr. Mercury Loudon and family that we'd like to share, very proudly.

Thank you April.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover from Herb, Diane, Isaac, Rachael, and Rebecca.  Pictures taken yesterday at the Cherry Blossom Festival.

After seven or so years of having it pretty rough, Bandit found his forever home in November of 2008. We renamed him Bug in honor of his fresh start and unique appearance. Introvert Bug soon opened up with the newfound attention he was receiving. It wasn't long before he was snuggling in our bed along side our other Boston, Lucy and wagging his body when making eye contact with us. Of the two dogs Bug was the much more accomplished walker, and Lucy was the better fetcher. But overwhelmingly, Bug was much more eager to please. His demeanor was somewhere between "am I doing this right?" and "I hope this is ok".  His favorite treat was ice and he loved getting under the covers, napping in his dog box, laying in the sun and going wherever.

Bug developed a tooth infection in late March of 2010, which thrust an undiagnosed chronic kidney condition into acute kidney failure. He was laid to rest on 4/6/2010 after several rounds of fluid treatment and many tears.

Bug's life was a rocky one, but his last 17 months were marked by unconditional love. He spent his last night at home, in bed with us.

He was a great dog.

Here are a few pix. Bug day one was right when we first got him...he wasn't so sure about what was going on. Bug river nap was last summer on the Talapoosa in Alabama, Bug top speed was him running to me and Bug and Mac is with our new son Mackey.

Well, we've been a little slow to make some announcements, work backing up here at the rescue, but we're delighted to tell you that Mr. Toby Man has joined his brothers Morgan, Walter Billy, Billy and Bugsy up in Unicoi, TN .

Seems the good old thyroid meds are kicking in and the previous couch potato has found his own gait and is now a regular hot rod on Dinker Hollar

Hoping for new pics of the kids.

Katie is proud of her new "pace maker" friendly harness.  Since dogs with pace makers can't wear a collar or normal harness that would put pressure on the pace maker, it took Dad a long time to find just the right harness!  By the way, Katie is back to walking a mile or two everyday and enjoying life as normal!

Major no longer needs to wear a harness all the time because he has learned to stay in his under ground fence.  He thinks he looks "Bad in Black"!  It makes him feel close to his favorite toy "Mr Skunk."

We're proud to announce that Mr. Keegan Magoo (now know as Duhon for you Duke fans) has been adopted and joined his happy family in Swannanoa, NC.  Here's Duhon, in the middle of things, helping with chores and trying to keep Kaya very happy.

His grandmother is also trying to spoil him.   ;-)

We're always happy for new pics.

Mr. MaGee Magoo, now proundly called Buster McGee has joined the Wix family and moved to Moultrie GA from North Carolina.    His foster momma Angie is sad but Buster McGee fit right in and he's a happy little guy.

It is with much heavy heart to let you all know that our beloved Buddy Love has passed away Sunday April 28th.  It appears to have been of natural causes, possibly a heart attack.  He was not under any distress and just seemed a little tired shortly before but no real signs of any problems.

He was truly loved and cherished by so many and had such a wonderful, happy and playful life here in the California sun.  His happy go lucky personality amazed so many and there was not a day gone by he did not have us laughing. We are blessed to have been able to adopt him from you May 2007 and thank you for allowing us his amazing love and joy.  Buddy Love truly helped open my and my husband’s hearts and will forever have a special place with us.  We look forward to adopting another Boston Terrier rescue when we get thru our grieving.

Buddy's momma, Leslie

Remember what it was like when we were kids, hanging out with buds, trying to either stay out of trouble or if that wasn't possible, just trying not to get caught.......

Here're three little guys who're neighbors in Fairfield Glade, TN.   Billy Dozer, Frankie Valli and Billy's big brother, Moe.   Franki Valli was recently adopted by his parents, Michael and Kathleen and we're hoping for some new pics of Frankie's digs.

Wonder what they've been up to?   They do look suspicious.....

Dear Ron,

I wanted you to know how much my "perfect Bostons" mean to me.  Tonight I am sitting in my recliner with Katie (squirt) on one side and Major on the other.  We are a pretty tight fit!  We are all happy.

Thank you for bringing us together.

Katie got the name of squirt because when she gets mad she squirts!   The last time was in FL.  Jay took her bandage off and he was worried she would scratch the pace maker incision so he wrapped the bandage around her back foot.  Next he fed the dogs.  I admit I too laughed as she tried to eat and kick the bandage off at the same time.  She got mad and squirted all over Jay's daughter's feet.  I laughed even harder.  Needless to say, she did not have to wear the bandage anymore.  She has more personality in her little paw than most people!

Major is doing great.  He loves life!  He is great with kids and there is no one he does not love.  He is learning to trust me totally.  The other day he got a recyclable Kroger bag full of books around his neck.  He went nuts with fear.  I knelt down and sternly called him.  He came straight to me and let me free him.  He is the "perfect Boston"!

Ardy

We have some new pics of Artie Flip Flop from Cathy and one of her kids too.

She says...

"Sam must have a death wish, though, because he tries to start trouble by being a little pain in the butt with Annie, but she has absolutely no sense of humor.  Petey tries to get a lick on Sam, too, but if Annie isn't there he doesn't start anything.  Mickey and Ratdog seem to get along with everybody."

Sounds like typical Boston kids.

We have some new pics of Miss Abby and she's doing just fine.

She still hates going to the vet (name a kid who really enjoys going to the doctor.......) but she's doing fine.  Abby had a thyroid problem that made her a little bit "nippy" at times but that's now fixed, she's on meds every day and she's a sweet little girl for sure.

Greg's little girl.

A lot of joy left me this morning as Buster was sent to heaven. He was a wonderful dog and I miss him very much.

This is Hope, 12 weeks old.  She looks like a little possum and she was dumped at a Georgia shelter.   Lucky for Hope, Donna was there to grab her up and watch over her.

She'll be fine.   It's what rescuers do.

Give Hope.

I am very saddened to say that Otis, the senior boy adopted from me about a year and half ago, has passed on. When Libby and Darren adopted him, he started having times where he’d cry out just a little if he moved a certain way, it seemed. They took him to their vet and had x rays done and there did not seem to be any major issues. It turned out to be an old injury, two degenerating disks in his neck.

His history is unknown since he was a stray.  Attached is a pic of him and his little ice cream cone he used to play with when he was here with me.

God bless them and Otis is now playing at the bridge.   He'll be there waiting for me and Uncle joe in Tennessee when our time comes.

How many Bostons can you count?

We have some new pics of the Harmon family and special Memphis Bostonian family.

Best of Buddies, of Course !!!

My name is Major.  I am a one year old "perfect Boston"  (that's what my Mom and Uncle Ron call me).  I have had quite an exciting last few months.  Mom and Dad picked my up at Uncle Ron's on their way from MI to FL.  I met the most beautiful Boston girl I had ever seen.  Her name is Katie.

We went for walks in FL and Katie just loves to chase Egrets - I prefer tennis balls.  Mom said Katie was sick so we went to Auburn University and got her a pacemaker.  She had to be quiet for a month so I couldn't tease her or chase her around.  She only got to walk a little bit and chase a few Egrets.  This past week we took Katie back to see how her heart was.  The doctor said her heart is healing and she can live a normal life!  Boy was I happy because I really love her.  When we were waiting some people told me I was a handsome stud and should make more Bostons.  Mom said I was fixed (didn't know I was ever broken) besides she knew a house where there were 30 Bostons just waiting for a new home; no need to make more.  That made me remember my best bud, Bubba.  He and I lived together at Uncle Ron's house in Atlanta and he still doesn't have his own people.

Uncle Ron says he's a "perfect Boston" just like me and my age!  I am home in MI now and happy.  I saw my first snow pile and it is really cool; when you lift your leg on it, it turns yellow!  Mom made Katie and I wear sweaters because it is cold by Lake MI.  I am not sure that I am so handsome in my sweater!

Love, Major

(Oh I wanted to tell Uncle Ron in EST with Daylight Savings Time, I don't wake up at 6:45am anymore and Mom was thrilled to sleep until 8am for the 1st time since we met.  Uncle Ron taught me to get up early just to bug Mom since she was getting her 2nd "perfect Boston"!)

We're very pleased to announce that little Miss Carrie Sue has been adopted and has moved to Alpharetta GA.

As you can see, she's a real little charmer and a very sweet little gal.

We're hoping for some new pics soon from Howard and Carrie Sue's new sisters.   ;-)

We already have some new pics of Miss Gypsy Rose from her parents.   She's MOVED IN and very much at home.  ;-)

Gypsy plans to be the worlds shortest Air Medical Chopper Pilot and her daddy is going to help her.

We're pleased to announce the adoption of Mr. Bruno Chan, now known as "Sequel" since his little bro's name is also Bruno.  This little guy now lives in Maryland and we're hoping for some good pics of the whole family asap.

Sequel is one of those rare Bostonians that have a cute little tail and he's very proud of it too.

We lost our beloved Roxie last night. Thank you for all your help and prayers.

Patti has sent us some new pics of Mr. Otis and his daddy, bedtime Boston Boy,  a very, very satisfied and 100% asleep puppy dog.   This is a sound-asleep doggie being carried into bed,  I mean O-U-T.

Yet another example of our Tough Love Training.

Marj's Black Beauty went to the Bridge March 8th and Marj misses her very deeply -

Heather and Tim would like to share some pics of their kids here in Maryville.

Hey Joe,

Finally figured out how to send pictures (I hope) !  Just wanted to send you some so you can see that Peanut Po is doing well.  Also some pictures of his playmates:  brown dog is Barley; she stays outside a lot, but comes in at night if weather is too cold.

He and Peanut Po get along so well--they chew on each other and frolic.  Barley is the dog that "adopted" us--she came to our property when she was about 6 weeks old.  Our dogs found her near the creek.   Gold cat is Frazier; 12 years old; rules the house.  He and Peanut Po get along well as long as Peanut leaves him alone.

Cat stays hidden away all day; comes out at night around 9 p.m. for some canned cat food.  Peanut Po also gets a treat at that time.  Hope these come in o.k.

Got a couple pics of Spanky and his little brother, adopted from the Etowah Valley Humane Society in Cartersville, GA where Donna works.    Aren't they precious?

Donna said "Spanky was turned in to A/C by owners that lost their home.  His Mom cried when she left him with me, but I assured her that he would go to my house and not spend one night in the shelter.   When I took him home, it was like he'd always been there.

He was a perfect little boy, sometimes we get lucky with a foster such as Spanky.  He got a fabulous home with  a little brother, and forever pet-parents that are committed to love and spoil him.  He'll never be homeless again."

Greetings from Lynn and her kids over in Fairfield Glades, TN near Crossville.

Here's the crew, Moe, Billy Dozer and foster Boston kid Frankie Valli.   Moe's the elder Bostonian and Dozer and Frankie are both from the Cookeville, TN shelter.

Here's a sample of what it's like from Claudia, for an older Boston to be reminded of what it's like to be a FOSTER PUPPY

We're very pleased to announce that Mr. Bruno Chan, one of those very rare Pure Bred Bostonians with a beautiful FULL TAIL has been adopted and has moved to Maryland with his momma and new daddy.

We don't see too many of these special little kids but they do all tend to look very much alike.

We're hoping to hear from Bruno and his parents very soon with pics.   Isn't he so very handsome?

And, here's a Bruno Special Movie, click here !!

We're deeply saddened to record the passing of Gabby Mayfield by his momma Mary over in Knoxville, apparently of a brain tumor.   Gabby had nearly a year of love from his adopted family after being dumped in the Knox County TN animal shelter.

He was met at the Bridge by Buddy Green Mayfield, Mindy and Mandy Mayfield and a host of friends.

Time for a nap.  It takes a lot of energy to be this CUTE! I’m wore slap out!!

Claudia's baby, Mugzy.   A sleepy little Boston Baby.

Here's a couple pics of Ellie Justice, a special little Bostonian who's gone to the Bridge and is waiting, about as patiently as a Boston can wait for her parents.

Isn't she a sweetie?

They miss her terribly.

Happy Birthday Dolly Marie !!!!!!

Here is Queen Bee and her birthday attire. She loved PetSmart especially the birds and free cookies.

She got her nails painted for free because it was her birthday.

You should have seen her eyeing this poodle like “piff you are ugly you fluffy white cotton ball, this is all Boston Beauty Baby!”
