News and Special Announcements for Bostonians and their Adopted People

IT'S ALWAYS YELLOW JACKET, WASP and BEE TIME!!!

When yellow jackets and other nasty bugs become particularly mean and many Bostonians (as well as Boxers and other short snouted dogs) are often very badly affected by a sting. If your pooche shows bad facial swelling, especially around his or her muzzle, redness and/or appears to be scratching at or biting at it's feet, you must move very quickly or the results could be very, very bad.

Don't take ANY chances!

Our advice (unless you're sure you know what you're doing) is to get the dog to the vet ASAP!! You can also ask your vet now about keeping some Benadryl (or the less expensive generic version Diphenhydramine HCl in 25 mg caps) handy in the case of an emergency.

If we see any indication of a yellow jacket sting, e.g., rapidly swelling muzzle and face, licking feet, etc, we give the dog ONE caplet in a piece of cheese immediately and start watching it carefully, planning a trip to the vet if there's no quick improvement, but you need to be talking to your own vet now.

Stuff about our little Bostonians, News, both Good and Bad,

Recent Adoptions, Family Photos Sent to Us by Bostonians and their Adopted People

(You adopted people out there know who you are. Send us your more recent pics if you'd like them posted)

We're very pleased to announce that Scooter and Sierra have been adopted and they've decided to move to Atlanta with their new parents, Jennifer and Greg.  Both kids are thinking about pursuing a career with an Atlanta law firm, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan, a great firm that their Uncle Joe was involved with years ago in the natural gas business.  We're hoping for some new pictures as soon as possible.   Aren't they cute kids?

Mr. Winston Canton now known as Chester has been adopted and he's moved to Kennesaw, GA where he's keeping a very close eye on his new momma Peggy.  He's still working on that flop ear but nobody there seems to mind.   We're expecting pictures soon.

Little Pepsi Baby has been adopted and moved to a very nice area in Maryville where she naps a lot with her momma Ruthie.  Ruthie's had Bostons for years and years and the house is full of Boston Terrier stuff, rugs, covers, pillow cases, everything.  Pepsi also has four aunts now who help her to look after Ruthis.   Everybody is very much settled in.

Not Bostons, but definitely snorters.  Rudy (on the left), died last Tuesday at 20 years old and had been with his parents for 18 of those 20 years. Eunice (named after Pam's very special granny is twelve) and they have had her since she was a mere piglet of twelve weeks old. Everybody misses Rudy. So does Miss Eunice. She is a lonely porcine. Eunice is a huge Aerosmith fan.

Here's a couple pictures of a little guy named Stockton Brennan sitting at his table like a lot of little kids.  Stockton is very different than most little kids his age though, he's rapidly going blind.   Animal Eye Care of Richmond, VA will be replacing his lenses because of cataracts but it's going to be tough for his momma Mia, around $2475.   If you'd like to help Mia and Stockton, please send her an email at mailto:mia@rimmkaufman.com and ask her what you can do to help Stockton.  You'll be very glad you did.  joe

Helen sent some birthday pictures of ANgel.   Isn't she precious?

Ardy's kid Katie has a new house and some new places to nap.  They have had some cool nights but Katie is surviving... Her Aunt gave her a new bed.  ;-)

Catalina's baby Gee Gad Briar also known as Bo or Bo-Gee or sometimes worse when he misbehaves is doing well and trying to behave himself.   He's like a lot of Bostonians and he just loooooves his momma.  Another of those famous Virginia Bostonians.  Aunt Vicki misses him too.

Ruby Sue has moved to Arlington where she's going undercover to work for Uncle Sam.   "Rubeee, don't take your love to town !!"  She looks a little ticked off, doesn't she?  Her Aunt Tonya always asks about her too.

We have pictures of Cokie Bee and Buzz Helton who were adopted and moved to LaFollette, TN with their momma Mary.   They're very happy there.   That's little Cokie on the left and the Buzz Man on the right.

Mr. Farley "Bubba" Dalton was adopted and has moved to Ocean Springs, MS with his new momma Tracy and little sister Kiddo.  Kiddo wasn't sure about big old Farley at first (she's a little bitty kid like her momma) and gave him a really good "talking to."  After Farley understood who the boss was, everything was fine and momma says he's starting to talk a little now and then at his new home.   It'll take him a little time but Farley says he loves it and he's especially thankful to Uncle Reggie and his family for the nice wheelchair that Farley has learned to actually spin.

We've been promised a video.  Here's Farley and his little sister Kiddo.  The picture on the right is a tired Farley and exhausted rubber chicken.

Here's a new picture of a VERY handsome little man about town, Mr. Baylor Taylor.  His momma Candace says he's a little stinker.  Say it ain't so Baylor.............

"What is that Abby?"

"Daddy says that's a dog, Scooter."

"Maybe we'll see a cat someday Abby.  I hear they smell really bad."

It's springtime and much to explore.   Stonewall and Sweet Magnolia have the investigation well underway.

A sad story from Newberry County, NC.   This baby was found along with two dead sisters in a shed.  Left to starve and only about 4-5 weeks old and apparently dumped and blind, she'd survived by eating grass for apparently about a week.   The animal control officer tried to save her, bottle feeding ever 2 hours and getting her ready for rescue to pick her up.   "Newberry Baby" died the second day - she just didn't have much of a chance.

There's a special place for people who do these kinds of cruel things.

The M&M jacket is very nice mommy, but why do we have to freeze our fannies off up here in Delaware?

Isn't Pam's kid Sweet Pea cute?

Mr. John Wayne has been adopted and he's moved to Farragut, TN where he's has two new kids to play with him.   John's thinking seriously about getting into the transportation business and we're hoping for some good pictures soon.

Annabell Baker

Annabelle was a puppy mill rescue, coming to us with a tennis ball sized tumor on her rear leg. She was also heavily heartworm positive. In addition Annabelle was forced to suffer the indignity of being born and raised in a puppy mill, and forced to be bred continually over 4 years, with absolutely no regard for her own health.

We followed a path we thought was in her best interests, had her spayed, and had the mast cell tumor removed, with help from Lifeline Animal Project. She had a rough go of  it from that experience, and was once pulled back from deaths door by Dr. Jackson; (into the late hours one nite), at Dearborn Animal Hospital, in Decatur GA.

Later came the decision to treat for Heartworms, and eight days later she gave up her fight. Happiness came to her for only a little more than 3 months of her life. She was thrilled just to get fresh crate beddings, we felt she considered that a highlight in her life. How shameful that is. She did get to roam free in the backyard, with the others, during her short freedom. She saw the sunlight and how she enjoyed being showered at last in its warming rays.

Sad tales, and there are worse, folks who buy at pet stores like Petland and standalone Pet Shops trading in puppies like Puppies Galore and countless others, and “backyard breeders” who market in the classifieds, are contributing to the outrage and bondage.

No dog deserves to be “domiciled” in a shed or barn, or old oil drum, and receive no love, and at best marginal, care, more likely abuse, at the hands of their “jailers” They deserve to have freedom, and love and live in harmony with their people.

Dogs don’t deserve to be chained, and ignored, or subject to cruelty at the hands of humans.

I’m sure that Annabelle has more forgiveness in her heart for those who abused her; as she waits at the Rainbow Bridge , than I do. We only regret her life of “winter” was blessed with such a short “spring”.

Bye Annabelle, but just for now kiddo.......

Mr. Buster Boy has been adopted and has moved to Grovetown, GA where he's joining a family with a couple kids, 12 and 16.   That's about the right age for Buster since he's a kid himself.   We're hoping for pictures soon.  He's a very handsome little guy.

Here are a couple visiting website dogs hailing from the Lexington, KY area, just dropping by.   Look!!  It's Coco and Max Brassfield !!!

We have a new picture of Shyla Boo Baby from her new home in GA with her brothers.  Isn't she a precious little kid?  She has a couple little brothers she's now trying to help raise.

Well, here's the Dugger Dynamic Duo that hail from Huntsville, Alabama way.  Guess who's the boss?

Hint: It ain't the one on the right, but Mr. Stonewall is just fine with Sweetie Pie the Sweet Magnolia telling him exactly what to do and how to do it.    ;-)

We have a new picture of Charlene in Crossville, AL.  She's had a rough winter but is pulling out of it and getting better.  Her brother Boo Boo Thomas is doing well too, living here in Maryville with the rest of the Tearoom Crowd.

We're saddened at the loss of a little guy named Billy Peanuts who had a ride out of a shelter out west.   Billy's daddy passed away and he was dumped at the local shelter the next day by the relatives where the kind shelter people sought out a new home for Billy.   He was rescued by MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue and was finally happily on his way, except for that last stop at the vet's office for a vaccination.  The vet gave Billy what is known as a "7-way" because of the additional Lepto vaccine component, a type long recognized as a killer of smaller dogs, those under 30# and Bostons in particular.   It doesn't happen often but when it does happen and it's YOUR dog, it's devastating.   About the best you'll get from the vet is "he died from a reaction to the vaccine."  The vet either knew the risk or should have known the risk at the time of the shot.

Billy died about a week later, safe in rescue but very, very sick and convulsing from the reaction to the shot and he's now with his daddy.   There's really nothing that could have been done for him.

It's for this reason that virtually all knowledgeable Boston Terrier rescues shun the 7-way vaccine in favor of the 5-way type, otherwise known as DA2PPv.   The vaccine that killed Billy had the "L" included.

Few of us in rescue are vets.  But virtually all of us can read and this is a WELL KNOWN hazard to small dogs and unless your vet can give you a damned good reason to include it (other than the higher cost to you), your dog will thank you to avoid it.

It's been a little wet in Memphis this spring and it's likely it's not over.   Here's Bailey and Stella, Christie's little mudders outdoing themselves and headed for the bathtub.

We're very please (although a little late) in announcing the adoption of Miss Shyla Boo Baby and her move to the peach state of Georgia.   The last good picture we had was when she was still wearing the E-collar from a run-in with an automobile but she's grown up and is a very pretty young lady now.    We're hoping for new pictures very soon.

It's been a sad week at the Boulware house since Sweet Miss Cidney (13 yr old Chow Chow) passed away on Sunday March 30th.  The house is empty no matter how many babies...

There'll never be another Cidney.  Kim

Mr. Harvey Feinstein has been adopted and has moved to Spanish Fort, AL.

Greetings from LA (lower Alabama). Wanted to let all my friends know that everything is going great in my new home. I am living in Spanish Fort, AL (10 miles east from Mobile, AL-the real birthplace of Mardi Gras). I have a 9 year old BT brother named Rebel-who is a cool, laid-back guy like myself. Mom works in Mobile and dad is a retired, stay-at-home doggie dad. Rebel and I
have the run of the house, so its sleeping, going outside and soaking up some sun rays for awhile, playing, having treats, and just chilling out. I miss everyone at East TN rescue, but I have settled in to life on the coast. Lots of BT kisses to Joe and Debbie for taking such great care of me and I hope all my BT buds find their own "forever" homes.

Well, there was some question from the first pics as to whether this little kid actually had EARS since they were "slicked back" but it's evident that she does and she's happily living in Woodruff, SC, a cherished member of her new family.   Her new name is Lizzie.   We're hoping for some new pics soon from her momma Charlotte.  Maybe Aunt Laura will drop by now and then for a visit.  ;-)

Here's some new pics of Stetson and Luke Clark of Cartersville GA.   They're Bingo Hennings' cousins, in Chattanooga.

We're pleased to announce that Miss Jasmine Joy has been adopted by her foster parents and will be staying in Canton for the time being with her older sister.   It looks like there's going to be some new activity around the Chow Bowl.

Mercy Me has been adopted and she's now living here in Blount County with her brother JO JO (or just "Jo" to his family).  She's a sweet little girl, a little shy and bashful yet but starting to play a little ball with momma.   For a Bostonian, that's a BIG step in the right direction.   We're expecting pictures.

Rudi lost his fight with heartworms and other heart problems. The left side of his heart had a leaky, faulty valve. The right
side was full of heartworms. By Tuesday evening, he could no longer make it. He could barely walk and refused to eat the
entire day.   He did not have pain; he knew he was loved. He is now waiting for me across the Rainbow Bridge.
I am thankful I had this sweet loving dog for 4 weeks.

Mary

This is where Rudi loved to stay--in the window seat in the sun

We grieve with Mary, but Rudi is making her stronger.   They now share a spirit.  Those of us living in rescue are blessed with that special insight and special understanding.

Willy "Biggy" Taylor and little Snap play in the snow.  It's a good deal colder up there than it is here.   Biggy is still eating.

A pleasant surprise from Dacula, GA, the Sully and Atticus team, snuggled up in a comfy little basket.   Boston Terrier style.

Sorry boys, didn't mean to wake anybody up.   ;-)

In 1996 when Buster was one and a half years old, I was walking at the park. I saw a man with a beautiful boston. I ran to catch up with them and that started a wonderful friendship which still exists. He later told me "that was the only time I've had a lady chase me down and it was my dog she wanted to see."

Later he brought his wife to meet me and my husband. They interviewed us to see if we were fit in laws for their Cricket. We passed the interview successfully and decided to have one set of puppies.

Benjamin, Sparky, Teddy and Sissy were born Jan 1,1997. When we took their daddy Buster to meet the kids, he turned his head and wouldn't look at them. As they got older though he became very interested in the puppies and really decided he liked Benjamin most. They were allowed to come play at our house and Buster was so attentive.

We have wonderful videos of the puppies playing with their Daddy. We kept Teddy and Benjamin, the Rodgers kept Sparky who looked like Buster and our friend Bob Iverson adopted Sissy. They were all spayed and neutered and Benjamin is the only one now left.

My love for these dogs was the start of ABTR and ABTR is dedicated to Teddy the white face who was lost.

Little Sweet Magnolia Sweetie Pie has been adopted and has moved to Huntsville, AL where she's been re-domesticating Mr. Stonewall Booldawg.   The leg is healing very nicely (thank you) and she's a very happy little kid with her new parents.  It's looking like Stonewall is going to make it after all.

Mr. Buddy Green has been adopted and he's moved in permanently into his home in Knoxville where he has about four sisters to keep him straight and tell him what to do.   He's still there, so it looks like it's going to work out although we suspect his ears burn a little now and then.   His momma Mary loves him and he's a different little dog.  His little pelt is beautiful and he's healthy although maybe a little plump.  She won't let those girls beat up on him.   ;-)

Here's some high doggin' fashion with Phthalo & Charlie from their parents Danielle and Nate.   The jackets came from Target and they're very sharp.

The Boston Tea Room in Maryville is greatly saddened at the loss of Buttons Bueton Bueton, a great little guy who became one of the permanent residents.   Considered unadoptable, a bad heart and an eye lost somewhere in the past he was nonetheless a ladies' man, a good looking kid and a great chaser of squirrels.  We lost him early Monday morning probably of a heart attach.

Considered "unfriendly" to other dogs, Bueton spent the evening before on the couch with his many buds, doing as Bostons only do.  He's not gone far and it's his turn now to watch of us and the rest of the kids, a little spirit with a great heart.

joe and Turk

We have new pictures of Mr. Corky and his little brother Rocky.   They are two very lucky little boys.

We're very pleased to announce the adoption of Mr. Bobo Zorro Farley (no relation to Farley Dalton).   Bobo lives in Staunton, VA and has a little sister named Piglet.  Bobo is actually an internet guru like his daddy Aaron.  We're hoping for some newer pics of the little guy and of his baby sister Piglet (hint, hint Aaron)

Saturday at Boston Farms proved to be one of the happiest sad days in quite a spell.  Uncle Ron was a tellin me bout his friend Bon Ami, and how stinkin pitiful ‘ol Bon Ami was one ugly yeast infection from head to toe.

Seems he took a leapin turn for the better, so Bon Ami got to hitch a ride with the Priebes family up to them Georgia mountains, to spend his time with Laci, one o’ them other flatlanders, that got lucky at Boston Farms last spring. (Fannie Mae’s page “allergy” line gives Boston parents some good tips on fixing bad skin conditions)

Well, Boston Farms is a wishin him well, rumor is another orphan is comin a nockin Sunday!

Before

and After

Well, Kristi has a new kid at the house, Glory.   Ling Ling talks to Glory and then Glory tells Kristi and Ivan what to do.

Glory is a northern girl from Gwen's Midwest BTR dog house.

This is Mr. Amos Ogg and his new friend Farley Dalton.  Amos lives in Georgia and Farley lives now in Tennessee but they're very good buddies. Amos has some siblings, a Great Pyrenees, Boxer, Golden Lab Mix, Rat terrier, Mini Dachshund, and a gentle little pit bull mix.  Amos is a little muddy, the result of rolling around in a puddle with the little pittie kid.  Farley can't walk but Amos is helping to fix that problem.

Funny how dogs look after each other with such charity and kindness.   The human race could learn a lot from them.

Abby Jo is doing well in Johnson City with her new daddy.   She and Mr. Frog have pretty much taken over.

We have a new picture of Batman Bob.   The Batman has always looked a lot like a little boy who's just been caught doing something and this picture is no exception.  He's become quite the artist like his momma Lisa.   Take a look at http://www.yourpetsketch.com/ and see if there's something there that might interest you.

Here's a new picture of Tiger Daisy Lynn from her momma Lacey.   She's a beautiful little puppy dog and her momma loves her deeply.

Milo Man has been adopted by his foster family and is settling down in the Columbia, TN area.   We sorta figured that was going to happen.   We know his momma will send pictures when she can and in the meantime, Milo will keep the boys under control.

We're very pleased to announce that Mr. Louis "Louie" Armstrong has moved to Music City where we understand he is going into the automobile dealership business with his momma.  Louie's big brother, new sister and momma drove up in a nice Caddy and Louie said to me "THAT'S for me !!!"    We're hoping for pictures soon.

Here's a pic of Karen's Cocoa, her 13 year old Boston Terrorist.  Cocoa was recently at a Louisville, KY "Pawdition" fashion show.  The show is being put on by "Animal Gambill" here in Louisville. "Animal Gambill" is Shannon Gambill, a dedicated animal advocate and children's book author.

Cocoa says to be sure to see the 2008 Collars & Couture Pet Fashion Show in Louisville.   This elegant affair will take place the evening of Sept. 12th at the Clifton Center located at 2117 Payne St., Louisville, KY 40206.   Cocoa will be watching for you.

The Boston community is again saddened to hear of the loss of RJ Baker, Ron's elder statesman Bostonian.   It's been a tough winter.

For RJ

This is Abby Jo and she's a nice little kid.   She's playing with her good friend, Mr. Frog.   Somebody was awfully mean to her sometime ago and it's taken Abby some time to trust humans again but her daddy Greg knows just how to take care of her.   It'll take a little while but the baby is certainly worth it.   It's not her fault.

Abby now lives in Johnson City and we're hoping to get some pictures soon.

This is Mr. Cliffy Green and he's been adopted.  His daddy is a volunteer fire fighter.  Cliffy now lives in Walland, TN.  Cliffy had sorta what you might call a "shady" past but one trip to PPAWS s/n clinic and some things don't bother Cliffy anymore.   He's surrounded now by close family so Cliffy is going to be a good little boy.  ;-)

Tyler Thomas has found his forever home in Atlanta where he will be going into the restaurant business. His dad has promised to send pictures of this sweet boy.  Stop by and enjoy a great meal at Carpe Diem Restaurant in Decatur GA with Tyler.   New pictures soon.

We are greatly saddened to hear of the recent loss of Jacky Blue from his momma, one of our earliest kids.  It was Jacky who would choose Lodi to be his big brother and it's now Jacky who's looking over both Erin and Lodi's shoulder, keeping an eye out for them.  It's been a rough winter for the kids as it usually is, but we grieve for ourselves.

The kids are still there, the roles have just changed.

Trooper and Bailey are the best of buds. Trooper is from Gordonsville, TN and his playmate Bailey, a French Bulldog are giving their momma that long, sorry look through the screen that we've ALL seen so many times before.

Here's a recent shot of Mr. Mufus - Theo Cleo living a dog's life in Asheville.   Life is tough.

Zip leaves behind her half sister Zap on the left and adopted brother Charlie (found on the roadside at 7-9 months old) on the right.   Charlie is now 20 months and the most wonderful little fellow who misses his big sister.

Sorely missed by her momma Sharlene and the family

The winter of 2007-2008 continues to be a very tough one in Boston Terrier world.

My sweet Annie passed away today from congestive heart failure. Had it not been for you and your group, I would not have had that wonderful girl in my life. She and I fought hard over the last few days to stay together, but her little body just gave out.

Please know that she was so loved, and spoiled, and will be missed more than I can express. Please let everyone in the group who knows about Annie know that she passed.

Cathy

All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk, on a winters day
I'd be safe and warm, if I was in LA.

Hello. My name is Scoot. I am a four month old Boston Terrier. I was born with a defect in my front legs - they say it is suppose to be causing me all kinds of problems but so far I have been able to get around. I was living with these people but they did not want me and so they were going to take me to a kill shelter. A very nice man heard about me and he and his wife took me in until a rescue could be found. I did not know what a kill shelter is but I do not like the word kill.

So now I am here at the Sanctuary Animal Refuge in Florida. I have seen two doctors already. Dr. Fox he is very nice he wants to look at a set of x-rays and thinks my legs might be able to be fixed. Dr. Gibson was also very nice.  She recommends that I go to the University of Florida to have my legs looked at so we are working on that now.

Scoot was playing last night and collapsed - he passed at 2 am. His liver was failing and he had a blood clot.

"I was so totally unprepared - he had just been to vet two days earlier.  I look at his bed and cry - he never had a chance - he was here one week - he touched more people in that week than most people touch in a lifetime."

Scoot's momma, Palena

Mr. Gee Gad Briar (now Mr. Bo) has been adopted and has moved to Clifton, VA where he's busy taking very good care of his momma.  Bo Gee says Air Jamaica ain't the way to travel if you're in a hurry but he's just happy to have momma back.  Nice cape, huh?

Alabama Boston Terrier Rescue lost a kid this week too, Mr. Buster Bibb, Boston Terrier.   We're so sorry but Buster's watching  over Evelyn now.  Here's Buster under the blankie resting, and his buds keeping him company.

My Daisy Mae who came to us as an owner surrender in June of 2005, went to the rainbow bridge last night. She would howl at us if we didn't get a treat as soon as she came in the door from being outside. She would kick up her heels when she was happy. She was happy all the time.

We will miss her dearly, but I know she up there dancing and howling....Godspeed Daisy, Mom and Dad will see you again.

Daisy Mae Alvis 1995 - 2008

Willy the German Shorthair Pointer (large Boston Terrier) has moved to Plainfield VT where he's thinking about being a bird dog, or maybe not.   He's got a lot of things to think about but his buds here in Maryville, Mr. Malt and his two sisters Riley and Heather miss him already (especially around the chow bowl).   Have have some new pictures below of the BIG BOY and the new girl friend (isn't she pretty?)

We also know who's been upending the big dog house here at the rescue now since Mr. Willy Taylor went to his new home.  ;-)

"Pebbles Anne (right) was our first Boston Terrier, adopting her four years ago. She was so adorable that she made us want more. Because of her sweet nature and generous spirit, we have been able to foster many BT's in the last four years. She was always willing to share her momma and daddy with others in need. She will be sadly missed."

"Suki (left) came to us almost three years ago with physical and emotional problems. She had major human trust issues even to the point of her inability to accept human affection. In time, she not only learned to trust and accept affection from us, she learned how to show us love. We were honored to be her humans. "

CB and Linda

Mr. Gee Gad Briar has been happily adopted and has moved to the Washington DC area with his new momma Catalina.  We told Catalina that Gee (like most Bostonians) was prone to be a little protective of their mommas and hopefully, nobody's made a false move and been nailed yet.   As you can see from the pic below, Gee is a serious little guy.   (pun intended)

Leo was my "little man". He was sooo sweet and warm.  If I looked at him wrong he would instantly lay on his back and ask for a belly rub.   From the moment I met him there was a deep bond that I never have experienced before.

The Boston Tearoom and community is saddened to hear of the passing of Fran's Harry, a very special little Bostonian who defied the doctors and just kept going.

March 24th 1998 - January 3rd 2008
How precious the time.
How beautiful the memories.
Harry's Momma Fran

OK...OK...don't feed the dog from the dinner table.  Uh huh.  Bacon and eggs anybody?

Lady has adjusted well to her new home in Athens, TN. It seems this is the family she has been waiting on and her life just keeps getting better. She has a very energetic brother to play with in a nice, large, fenced yard. Their days consist of play, nap, play, nap, play, nap... In between they eat and have snuggle time with the humans. This family was made for her.

And, her foster momma Tricia misses the kid too.

Dave was found October 15th 1998 at Daytona International Speedway on Dave Marcis's Real Tree souvenir trailer, where he got his name. We brought him back to Tennessee and he was the best pit bull ever. He went through several levels of obedience school, agility and canine good citizen. He loved everyone he came into contact with from little kids to the 85+ old man down the street. He got sick 11/14 and died at 5am, Monday November 20th because we trusted his life to an incompetent vet.

He was the love of our life and the spirit that kept this house alive.

Bobby & Linda

From Charlottesville, VA we have an OFFICIAL Stockton update from his parents.  Spoiled?  Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

;-)

Ah, some new pictures from the Asheville kids, Mr. Theo Mufus and little sister Abby doing the mountain climbing gig.  Their parents are VERY proud of them although it LOOKS like a little "discussion" is taking place in the middle pic.  Theo is paying attention ~ good idea.

We have some new pictures of Karl Noel and his "big" brother Bat. We sorta think it's going to be one of those deals where Mr. Batman needs to get himself established as BOSS DOG early.   Baby Karl's got big feet and sooner or later, he'll grow into them.  (Run Batman, run!!!)

 ;-)

Duke Hooligan came to us as a foster. What can I say but, we fell in love and the feeling was most mutual!  We are proud to say, we are his new adoptive parents! Thanks Ron!!!

This is a picture of him (Duke is front right in the center photo) and his new brothers, as you can see I was interrupting their play time. They have that look that says, do we have to get our picture taken? The next picture says it all, I finally made it home, and now I can rest my precious little head.

The Gaddis family

Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN had an opportunity to help transport two Boston mixes to Maine from the Loudon County TN  Shelter to a fine rescue there.   The girls are now in Maine and are doing fine.  They're learning about that "white stuff" on the ground.    ;-)

Saving a little life is a simple thing.

Poor Lula would have most likely been euthanized at an animal control just because she had a skin condition, a very treatable skin condition at that! Luckily a local humane society took Lula into their program, treated all her medical needs, got her spayed and into her very own home! She is living the life of luxury now just as she deserves!

Here are before and after photos of Lula and a link to a video of the little princess.

Giddy is a  jumpin’ for joy at the news that handsome Eddy Ray just  moved in with a great family in Covington GA. He’s got a real big back fenced back yard, and his new parents have big ol hearts, why we heard  they even brought in  some human  family members; the same way they got our Eddy.  We are so happy to see the spirit of compassion extended for both our canine and human friends.

Last word was; by the time that got to sleep’n last nite, the whole doggone houseful was plum tuckered out. Hats off to ya folks and may God bless.

Sometimes there are some scary things lurking and the one thing that saves us is our trusty pooch.  A Vacuum Cleaner ATTACK, but the family is saved by fearless Mr. Rascal.   ;-)

Well, little Scooter continues to learn about the world in Chattanooga and saw her first snow this week.  "That stuff is pretty but it's wet and cold" she told her big sister.........

We've lost two more kids, in Alabama.   Irving and Dot are two of Donna's oldest kids, now being fitted too for little black and white wings.  They haven't gone far either.

Here is "Preacher girl" (Peyton) enjoying a late afternoon nap after a big day!

She has learned the doggie door (in and out), what "go out" means, knows her new name, is taking treats from my hand, and comes when called. She is still quite independent but does engage Sunny Boy in some dog communication from time to time. She sleeps in this living room bed, her bedroom bed or hers in in my office and has been eating just fine.

We're saddened to learn of the loss of Marti's Chyna, a very special little Frenchie girl to epilepsy, a scourge to Frenchies, Bostons and pugs.   She's looking after Marti now, not far away, over her shoulder.   She's being fitted for a little set of wings.

We have new pictures of Abby and her little sister Scooter.   They live in the Chattanooga area and have become the very best of buds.  Abby is still working on the fence patrol thing with Scooter.   ;-)

Havin long given up his train hoppin days, and a still yerning for the smell of the old Silver Comet, blasting over yonder rails; Hobo Willy up and quit campin at the Boston Farms, and took up with a woman or two up in them Tennessee hills.

Spent the first real Christmas with folks just putting that lovin on em’, stead of a lookin for warmth and handouts. Word is his momma got this big ol’ parrot, and it’s a askin fur a saddle to put on that  handsome doggie.

Giddy’s fur sure gonna be checkin in a bit more about this one. A good fashion   Tennessee Christmas all the way round!

Little Rose' Red, the last of the three pups from Erwin, TN was adopted and has moved to Seymour.   She's still a baby so it's hard to tell what she's going to do (other than be a special little girl).  Pictures would be nice.   ;-)

Mr. Karl Noel has a new home with his big brother, Batman or just "Bat."   Bat wasn't too sure about Karl at first since he's only a 6 month old puppy but a BIG kid and BIG feet.   He's going to be a BIG boy.   He and Bat are going to just grow up a little and be Boston Terriers before worrying about anything else.   We're hoping for pictures.

Karl is a ham for pictures.

We're pleased to announce that Miss Peyton Coker is now the PREACHER GIRL (named after her momma) and has moved to Black Mountain, NC.   You can guess what we think she's going to be doing.   She has a new brother and it's just a matter of everybody getting to know everybody else.  We're very happy for the baby.

The Tea Room and all of Boston Rescue is saddened at the loss of Kristi's Ling Ling, a very special little girl.   Ling Ling was one of the new kids around the time Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee was getting started, a very elegant little girl.   She's watching after her momma Kristi now, still giving Ling Ling kisses in her momma's sleep but not really very far away.

We're very pleased to announce that a very special little guy named Rockerd, Boston Terrier/French Bulldog has moved into his new home near Atlanta.  His foster momma Kim will miss him, but his new momma Dee Dee adores him.

It's a good feeling and Rockerd (aka Rockford) is happy, Santa came early and Dee Dees prayers were answered.

Ron's happy too.

We're delighted to announce that Mr. Chester Raymond has been adopted and will be staying home with his foster momma and brother in Maryville.   Here's a picture of Chester relaxing on the couch, one of his best "tricks" and another of Chester catching up on a little reading.

We're very pleased and proud to announce that Mr. Blazer Tate (now "Blaze") has been adopted and lives right here in Alcoa, TN.  Blaze has a big brother, Baxter who's been helping momma since he was 3 months old and now Baxter is going to help raise Blaze.   Blaze isn't sure what he wants to do when he grows up, maybe........ help Linda during the summer at Print Image in Newton, NC?   We'll see.  Meanwhile, his momma Janet and Baxter are keeping a close eye on Blaze.

Update everyone on Teddy:

At first I reported that Teddy would be staying here in Memphis. This little guy has gotten so much attention that we had two families wanting to adopt him, his most-recent foster parents and a couple in Virginia that saw him on Pets with Disabilities. The foster family has opted to keep their home open to other in-need dogs and allow Teddy to go to a wonderful couple in Virginia.

These good folks live in Charlottesville, and they have previous experience with paralyzed animals. She is a vet tech at UVA, and there are other dogs in the household for Teddy to play with.  They are very excited about getting Teddy, and I have no doubt he is going to an excellent home. The foster family will be meeting the adopting family this weekend to make the exchange. Thought everyone would like to know the story. Thanks again for all your help.

Eris Dion, DVM

Another sadness this Christmas season is the loss of Ling Ling Rowell, a very special little girl in Georgia.  Many of us knew Ling Ling.   Congestive heart failure took her but she's watching over Kristi now.  Christmas is a bittersweet time of the year for most of us.

We're sadden as we always are to hear of the loss of one of the kids, John Wayne Harp of Franklin.  He'll be waiting for Wyndi with the rest of the crowd.  John Wayne is the first of a long line of rescue kids and led the way.

Well, I had one to slip by me, an adoption at the Young Williams event last month in Knoxville.   It's MR. Steely Miguel, one of Layla's proud little pups.  Isn't he a handsome little guy?   Maybe we can get his momma Brandy to send us some pics since the kids are growing up.

Here's Stacy and her kids in VA  Bobo, Riley and Maddie. Somebody's got a new stocking Christmas hat.  ;-)

Mechanicsville,VA gets a bit cool this time of the year and it's time for Cody and Katie to bundle up.  Aunt Jan's been making sweaters but the kids are so sure that's such a good idea.   After all, how many coats does a good dog need?

Running a border surveillance program can be tricky and there's a certain amount of training that's required.  Dudlee and Abby (the senior officer) are watching carefully that nobody sneaks into the back yard.  Then, of course, there's time for a little nap.  Hard work !!

Here're some new pictures of Mister Nashville Duke and his little bride, Maggie Mae.  Maggie is the one with the ears at attention.   Dukes are, well, they're at parade rest.  Two very cute kids.   :-0

We're very pleased to announce that Mr. Xander Scotch (Cairn Terrier) has moved Madisonville, TN where he's best buds with a 14 year old gentleman who shares his bedroom.  ;-)   The Bostons here in Maryville are still a little puzzled about their "cousin."  Send pics, folks.

Medford Mass is very proud, Phthalo & Charlie have graduated puppy class and they were (of course) the stars of their class! Either Charlie or Phthalo came in first in all of the graduation competitions - sitting, staying, coming when they are called, walking on a leash etc. They had their first snow over the weekend, and it turns out that they LOVE it! They loved running around with their noses in the snow, biting at snowflakes and catching snowballs.

We've been taking them on longer walks these days, about 2 miles - and they are doing well, we walk them down into Davis Square ( a little town center with shops, restaurants etc) and they are the talk of the town!

Here's a recent picture from Boston Farms in Stone Mountain.  It's getting chilly everywhere and Ron's kids are no exception.

We're saddened to hear that Brenda's babies Hannah,  Jack and Bell were lost to parvo and they're all sitting on Dennis' lap now.  All came from a puppy mill operator and were not protected by the mill operator and all contracted it at a vet's office.

Mothers watch your children and trust no one with the lives of your kids.  We're all heartbroken over this senseless loss.

Little Miss Dudlee has moved to Chattanooga and is now learning "dog stuff" from the wily and very smart Miss Abby.  Please excuse the boots.   Abby is training a new photographer.   ;-)

Here're some new pics of little Maple (used to be Quig Quag) and Flip Flop of Macon GA.   Maple's got a lot to learn but in very good hands obviously.   Looks like Mr. Squeak is getting the "business."

Well, Belvedere, SC is a much better place to be now that these two kids are officially a pair.   It's Dobby Cobby and Shelby, two very cute kids.   Their momma and their Aunt are both very proud of them.  Sweet, huh?

You're not going to believe it momma but I saw this funny looking toad frog crawling out of the pond and it was making a "snort, snort, snort" sound.....at Thanksgiving in Fancy Gap, VA.   Thanks Mike for the great pics of Reno.

Here's a photo of Ruby (formerly Maggie of Hendersonville) and her beloved companion Dudley. She rules the roost in Lugoff SC-- keeping squirrels at bay and her trio of cats in line. She and Dudley play endless games of tag in their newly fenced yard and love snuggling in front of the fireplace now that the nights are growing cooler. We love her dearly and thank you for making her adoption possible. Barbara :)

Well, Miss Dee Dee and Miss Chloe Jordan have been adopted together and are living happily in Maryville, TN.  Their daddy works for TVA but the kids aren't interested in a job repairing high voltage lines ~ isn't that shocking?   Looks like two sweet little girls and we're hoping for more pictures.  ;-)

Well, we got a little note from Asheville.   It's one of those things, most of the time everything's just fine but now and then somebody does something to annoy somebody else, and ..........  well........ you know what happens then.   Ouch, ouch, ouch.    Sorry little guy.

We're very happy to announce that Mr. Willy Taylor, a Boston Terrier in a German Shorthair Pointer suit, has been adopted and is considering a career in law enforcement when he's not out chasing other Boston Terriers dressed up in quail suits.  We're expecting pictures soon.  ;-)

November 14th was a red-letter day in the life of our Boston Terrier, Harry. That date marked the 5-month anniversary of Harry's surgery for hermangiosarcoma and it was at the outer edge of his life expectancy of 2 to 5 months. He was given 2 to
3 months without chemo and up to 5 months with intensive chemo-therapy. We were told that he would not be with us for Thanksgiving in any event.  Harry is 9 years, 9 months and enjoyed Thanksgiving immensely with his family, again this year.

Since surgery, Harry's dined well on Chinese herbs and homeopathic medications, a strict diet of raw food, and periodic acupuncture.  See Fannie's webpage for more on Harrys success.

Working in the lending market can be very exhausting, especially in California.  Here's little Buddy Love, dog tired and on the way home from his office with his proud momma.

We have some new pics of Louis (King Louie), Val's kid in Merry Old England.   He's growing up, isn't he?  Hard to imagine he's not a puppydog anymore.

This just in….

Georgia Boy is one of latest; and might be called greatest? furkid on the farm to head to bigger an better things. The correspondent who has close ties to Uncle Ron’s Boston Farms  saw Georgia Boy travelin north on the back of a greyhound express, havin his lunch tied to a stick in a sack, slung over his back.

That ol hound weren’t none to happy about havin to go the distance, but Georgia claims that’s how all them people folks get there. The ol hound fell for it. Georgis thinks them busses is dogs anyhow. He’s gonna get a canine degree in pathology, and lern his vet a thing or three.

Sometimes in spite of what we do, help comes too late for some of these kids.

This is Gwen's Buddy, a little guy rescued by Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue.  He was just too far gone.  His owners painted his toe nails but could not find the time to take him to the vet when he needed it. He weighed 17 pounds but he was clearly a 30 pound dog and it didn't happen overnight.  He trusted them to take care of him and it cost him his life.  We're terribly sorry Buddy.

We recently lost our old friend "Mister."  We'd had the honor of his company for almost 19 years. Abby, our rescued BT also misses him and hopes to have a new sister soon.  Nobody will replace Mister.

Winston was born in September, 2000 and became part of our lives that November.  I (his mom) thought Winston was quite possibly the homeliest little puppy I had ever seen, with a face only a mother could love. His personality quickly won me over, and he eventually grew into the most handsome big boy.   One of Winston's very favorite things in life was camping, particularly at the campground where we spent most of the first two summers of his life.  There, he made many friends on our long walks several times a day.  He enjoyed wading in the creek, popping touch-me-nots, and cozying up in 'his' chair in front of a campfire.

Winston's ability to communicate was uncanny to the point of being nearly telepathic.  We take comfort in  theorizing that the brain tumor suspected of taking his life may also have accounted for his extraordinary perception and communication skills.

Winston died on May 6, 2007.  He was only 6 years, 8 months old.  I was fond of telling him throughout his life that “Mama loves all of her babies, but Winston is The Most Special.”  We thank Winston for a second chance at life.

Karen and Bob Tipton, owned by Winston, Toby, Jackson and Murphy

We have new pictures of Jack and Toby and the rest of the clan in Myrtle Beach.   The "group" pic is what it looks like right before suppertime.  ;-)

Our new mom and dad ( Helaine & David ) got a call and were told by Uncle Ron that there were two young ladies, that's us, that needed to be pulled from a shelter. We' re Pattie & Gracie and we needed some one to rescue us so the next wed after our surgery (all you pups understand that) Halloween they came all the way from Manassas, VA. all the way to Johnson City TN.

We had a long ride home but boy was it worth it!  We both new got cages with rugs & new blankets, and our own place in the front room. It's okay to get in Dad's recliner and on the sofa. We take naps in the bed with Mom & Dad too. There are toys that we are learning to play with and Mom takes us down the elevator to go out . There are lots of people here at the senior living apartment to kiss and get loves from, we like that because it wasn't like that where we were. We will send more pictures & let you how our new lives are shaping up.            Love Pattie & Gracie

Was a talking with them Boston Farm Folks (ya know in Stone Mt) early today, and don’t ya know; that prettier than a hunerd dollars; Somba went a shoppin yesterday and done found that lovin home she’s a ben lookin fur. Well, Maximus Ratimus (Big Rat) is now just "Max" and he's got a new momma to look after him and who's doting over him.    He's a very happy little guy although we're told the first night there was some "hooting."   Momma spent the night with Max and all's forgiven now.   More to come and we're hoping for some good pictures.

Birmingham and the rest of Boston world are sadden this morning at the loss of Austin's Katie.   She joins the crowd of little angels hovering around Austin, keeping him safe.

She was filled with life and enjoyed every last moment.
May she rest in peace.

We're very pleased to announce that Poppy and Shadow have been adopted and will be living in McGaheysville, VA and are going
into the restaurant business selling barbecue. If you're ever in the area stop by and have a bite at the Log Cabin Barbecue, it's really
tasty and ask to speak to one of these kids, "vinegar or tomato sauce please?"

Here's a picture of little Quig Quag aka Quiggy.   She was adopted this week and is moving from West Tennessee to GA.  Her little brother Snoopy was adopted last weekend.   We're hoping for pictures, as usual

Here's Miss Becca, the smallest of Layla's kids.   She's the one who rules the roost though.  Becca's been adopted by a very proud momma and she lives in Maryville, TN too.   We're hoping for some pictures soon.

Well, we're very happy to announce that Mr. Cleo Theo has moved to the Asheville area where he's very comfy with his new family, momma, daddy and sister Abby.   He's not quite certain what he wants to do, it's sorta nice not doing anything for a little while after that scary time at the dog pound.   It makes his little lips tremble just thinking about what might have happened....

Dobby Cobby has been adopted and is moving into his foster momma's home where he already has a little sister, Georgia Girl.  She was adopted last year.  Here're the kids, Georgia Girl (aka Shelby on the right) and the sweet little Dobby Cobby on the left.  He's named after his godmother.  We're hoping for more pictures.

Lo Key Chow (now Sparkplug) and his little brother Inspector Dreyfus were adopted this weekend.  Both kids have decided to stay in Maryville, TN.  Lo is thinking about maybe something in healthcare at Blount Memorial hospital and the Inspector is thinking seriously about a career in Education at Maryville College.   They'd like to visit each other now and then.  Pretty Layla's three other kids live nearby too.

Most folks really didn’t even know me, They call me Sweet Sue; I was wandering around after a UGA football game and really needed a friend. A nice young lady kept me till Uncle Ron could get to me. After some tumor removals, and a little dental work. I perked right up. Those real nice folks who got Beau a couple weeks back, drove way over to Stone Mt. to get me. And now I’m at least twice the doggie they saw before. I feel great and lookin forward to some heavy duty lap time.

We have a couple new pics of the kids in Myrtle Beach.  Life's turned out pretty good.   ;-)

Here's a new pic of Charlie girl.  She wasn't feeling too well a couple months ago but a puppy entered her life, a little guy bailed out of a shelter.  It seldom fails, take an old dog, add a young dog and magical things usually happen: two young dogs.  ;-)

Here's a picture of Sam (Carlos).  They love him dearly; he is so sweet, sleeps with them every night and he's Bobbie's baby.

The picture is from the Humane Society, fund raiser that was held in October, they asked that you dress your dog up. Sam is a Biker Dog, with his Doggles.  His picture was on the Spotted Times Free press website for the Chattanooga News Free Press paper.

New pictures of Mr. Cracker Jack, aka "Jack" and little bud Bungee.  Seems Jack took a trip to Petsmart over the w/e and picked out a new toy for himself.   That's ALWAYS a treat.  His momma Linda says he's been a gooooood boy.  Uh huh.

We're happy to announce the adoption of baby Murphy Snoopy Tipton who's already relocated to the Johnson City area of East Tennessee.   He and his little sister Quig Quag are puppy mill survivors from west Tennessee.   Snoopy has some pretty big boots to fill but he believes he's up to the task of carrying on for the beloved Winston.

The folks at Boston Farms went a ridin' with Torri Lynn today; and sat a spell Miss Kim at her home in Tucker GA. Torri has decided to stay with Kim, he new Mom, and get to know the cat “lady”. Seems the vittles she puts out are just too dang good to pass up.

…. And the sweet tea is just more than any self respectin' Boston can turn down. Playing fetch in nice little back yard was the icin' on the cake!

We've delighted to announce that Mr. Cracker Jack has been adopted and has moved to Cleveland, TN with his momma Linda and new sisters Bungee, Tasha and a cat (Connie Fu).   Linda has promised pictures although we do know that Mr. Cracker is doing very well with the notable exception of a little gas.  Cracker is the handsome guy in the middle.

Good lord, somebody said "hey, I can't find Skipper Jack on Giddy's stuff !!"  Sure 'nuff, he went missing.  Well, we're sorry about that and still don't know what happened but he's on here now !!!   Skipper (aka Jack Jack) and his momma and daddy live in Atlanta but we don't know what he's doing now.   We know he moved.  Help, Skipper's momma, please send pics and tell us what he's doing.   ;-)

Julie was the first present that my husband ever bought for me.

We drove to Bull Gap just to look at her.  It was a less than reputable rescue, but I fell in love with her. She ran and jumped in my husband's arms and I knew we had to have her. She was my best friend. She was in my wedding, she was the first one in our new house, and she went to work with me every day. She was there to lay on my lap when I was crying and ready to go anytime I opened the door. I could not have asked for a better friend or dog.

She lived with us for 4 yrs. I will miss her more than I could have ever imagined. She left her footprints on our hearts.

Sadly Missed by her momma Heather who Julie's watching over now

We'd like to announce the adoption of Mr. Yakity Yak here in Maryville.  Yakity is already best buds with 12 year old Ryan and we understand he's going to be an "under cover" dog.   (Sleeps under the covers).   We're hoping for some good pictures.

Mr. Beau Seaphus has moved to Brunswick GA.   He'd tried staying at the Henry County Jail for a little while and decided that's not for him.   Betsy grabbed his small self, whisked him off to Ron and the next thing you know, he's going to be a deputy sheriff himself.  We're hoping for pictures Robyn  ;-)

We're delighted to announce that Mr. Rowdy Ray has been adopted and has moved to Woodstock, GA where he may or may not be joining his new daddy in the welding and fabrication business.  Or, he may just stay home with his momma and big sister.  Here's a pic of Rowdy at one of his favorite spots.

Buck (now Toby) and Bo (now Jack) are living with their new Boston brother and sister and a cat in Myrtle Beach, SC.  All is going well in spite of a certain curiosity about the trash can (and the cat) which, usually passes.   We're delighted that they're in such a fine and loving family.  We're expecting more pictures.

Hooray for Roger Roger, he's been adopted by a school teacher and now it's time for Roger's little red snout to go to the blackboard.  Roger's always been one of those kids you suspected of doing something but never could quite catch.  We're sure Alice will take very good care of little Roger, just like she did her baby Dolly.

Mr. Harley Patches McGee has been adopted and he's moved to Knoxville. We're thinking the little guy may get into the jewelry business.

Pretty Layla Jean has been adopted and is living in Alcoa, TN with her new momma Barbara.  Layla's still got some puppies waiting to be adopted but it's the grandparent dogs that are now doing the babysitting.   We're hoping for pictures soon.  She's sooooooo pretty.

Mr. Sky Walker has been adopted by his wonderful foster momma Linda and he's now living in beautiful Kingsport, TN.  Sky is continuing couch duty, something that he's grown VERY good at.   We're hoping for pictures soon.

Little Green Eyes puppy dog has been adopted and has moved to the Louisville, TN area with her new momma Heather.  Green Eyes is thinking about becoming a school teacher.

Here are the Clark rescue kids.  Lexi is 7 months old, from a breeder by an elderly couple. After 4 wks decided they didn't really want a dog. She was kept crated most of the time, didn't know how to play, or what treats were.

Brody is 6-8 yrs old, had been picked up 3 times by animal control & owners refused to come get him the last time. He's was very skinny, heavy heartworm positive and was such an angel. He's being treated for H/W & is doing great. He's a real snuggle bunny.

Abby is 1 1/2 yrs old and was 8mos when surrendered by her owner. She love to play tug of war, and take naps snuggled next to Mom, Brody & Lexi.

Ardy's Katie here in her wet T-Shirt. It keeps her cool when it is hot!  Cool weather's coming kiddo.

Ardy has sent us some new pics of her kids, Cody and Katie (on the right).  They told us "We told her we just wanted to be ourselves this year but no... She has to go out and get us costumes....I may have to be a pirate but I am not going to like it!"

They don't look too happy, do they?

We have some new pics from Courtney of her kids Chief Jack Green and little Courtney, his baby sister who had some bad luck.  She's fine now.

Hi friends!
I'm happy to say that I've finally found my home, and I'm so happy to be here. However, I have to thank all of those wonderful folks who took care of me, played with me, and guided me home to my new mom. You're the best!!!
My mom and I are having so much fun. We go walking in the mornings with my new friend Belle - a beagle who shows me alll the cool stuff at the park; we go see my Aunt Millie and Uncle George - two Jack Russells who love to play with me; and when all the fun is done, mom and me cuddle up to get some rest.

This Boston is glad to be a Georgia Dawg and call Atlanta home.

Lots of kisses,
Murphy Jack

We're terribly sorry for your loss Austin.  joe and Turk

We have some new pics of Mandy Lynn up there in Max Meadows, VA.  She's such a beautiful little girl and her momma thinks she's the prettiest little Bostonian in the world.

Well... as with many promising young stars once little Wil Brown moved to the Music City his record label advised him that he should change his name to something catchy... so he's now going by Titus (and pleased to see that his Tennessee Titans are winning although he'll probably keep his day job at the DOT.

Titus is trying really hard to keep up with his new big sis Kanga, but that beagle's got some long legs, so he chooses to just hang with the humans, Julie & Todd, mostly. He's also getting to know his new neighbor Ziggy, a puggle, but has learned that Ziggy is a bit jealous of Kanga's new play friend.

Our kid had taken the Boston world by storm, our Mr. Cooper Jackson was adopted on Saturday. Once his image hit the net we were forced to add extra lines to handle the traffic in front of Ron's house. He was a hit here at Boston Farms.

Young Coop is moving in with “Gracie,” a Senior Boston desperately looking for a playmate. In their off time they are going to author new vaccine protocols for the CDC

Well, we've been putting this one off a little hoping for some NEW PICTURES but it's time to announce that the very special little guy, Mr. Mokie McBee aka Mokie M. McCool (in the middle) has moved to Washington DC to join up with his "little brother" Mr. Fin Fin McCool.  The pic on the right is Mr. Mokie sitting on my chair and hiding in the dark (he thinks) at "last call" time late one evening.  These are two very cool dudes and word has it that they're going to become publishers one of these days.  Send a letter to your buds in the Tea Room, boys.   ;-)

BusterWillis was dealt a harsh hand but he's still doing pretty good and Sharon and Michelle are looking after him.   Here he is with a big bud.

Here's a picture of the newly adopted Mr. Bootz (or Budda) who's moved to Lexington KY.   His momma Tammy is going to tell us more about what the little gentleman is going to be doing in the near future.  He's a very happy little guy.  Talk to me Bootzy!!!

Here is Bobbi Jo resting with her sister Tessa Lu. Before her momma got the camera out Bobbi Jo had her back leg over Tessa Lu's back. It was sooo cute, but they woke up.  They are working on revamping the Dear Ruby site with a section for Bobbi Jo, or maybe a book about loving a handicap dog...so many ideas, but where does the time go...  Take care, Cyn and the rest of the Long Beach gang

Belle Baby has been adopted and has joined a Boston Family in Cleveland, GA.   Her new sibs are Magee, Phoebie (both  Boston Terriers) and Peekapooh.  Miss Phoebie is going on 15 and Peek is a rescue adoption from East Tennessee BTR.  We're all very proud.  The two on the left are Belle and the rest of the family is on the right.

Mr. Wil Brown has been adopted and has moved to Music City, Nashville where he's going to be working for the DOT as a special assistant to his momma Julie.  We're hoping for some new pics of the little wiener.

Here's a new picture of Annie Napier, Harvey's little princess in Asheville.

We have some new pics of Pumpkin Beatrix's kids Phthalo & Charlie.   The other kids are fine too.

How fast can a Boston Terrier move (when it wants to)?   Ask Mr. Sully and buddy Atticus.  Their momma Heather says: "things are going great with Sully. He has learned to sit and stay however the leash is still a challenge. He thinks it's a chew toy and is constantly attacking it. But we will work that out. Now that the weather is getting cooler Atticus is more inclined to play, he actually chased Sully around the yard yesterday, that was a first!"

This is a long story and it's got something to do with the loss of Missy Sue Sheba, but below are a couple special Beagle kids.  According to their momma Kelli, the funny ones are Biscuit with her "toy" back massager, ready for the Starship Enterprise. Can you tell they love each other to death?  Buddy and Biscuit. Buddy will be two next month and Biscuit will be two in December.

We have a couple new pics from Montezuma, GA from little Daphne's momma Janis.  Looks like the shy little violet has blossomed.   She's a wild child now when she not napping.

Everybody likes to dress up a little now and then.   Here's Katie's child.   They live in Abingdon, VA

The entire East Tennessee Boston Terrier and extended family is saddened to report the passing of Missy Sue Sheba, Boston Terrier, apparently to a stroke after an epileptic seizure. Missy Sue Sheba lived at both the Baker and Raibley houses off and on, a bit of a little snow bird.

She's a very special little kid and helping with the rescue in a bigger role now, a little soul..

New pictures of Valerie's kids in jolly old England.   It sure looks like they've had a good deal more rain than we have on this side of the big pond.  Maybe we can get them to tell us a little about being a Boston in England.   ;-)

Well, here's a long awaited group of pics some of the Payne family.   It's that time of the year and about time to roll out the camper, huh kids?  Momma's got the knack with the new camera and she's getting good with the computer.  Seems like there're a couple kids missing here........... wonder what they're doing?     ;-)

Still running behind of course, but here're two recent pics of Michelle's Bonnie Michelle, very special little girl, doing a typical Boston "thing"  Oh, doesn't that make you sleepy?

Kitty Kat (now called "Brownie") and Courtney Denise (now called "Brown Sugar" like one of her sisters) have been adopted into the same family and moved locally to Alcoa.   We don't have a good current pic of Courtney (just the baby pic) but we're expecting some soon from the new parents.   Kitty Kat is delighted.   She's a Velcro dog and a little snuggler.  UPDATE: She has been spayed at Animal Works and is now recouping and helping her new little human sister get over strep throat. They are inseparable.

Mr. Billy Campbell has been adopted but he's staying in Maryville with his big brother Toby Man.  They're both cute little weenies and very much loved by their new families and they've even been back to Petsmart to show them off a little (and pick up some toys).  The dogs get to pick out the toys, of course.

We're very pleased to announce the adoption of Sheree Baby and Zach O'Connor, two of Pumpkin's kids.  They've moved "up north" and are the apple of their new parents eyes.  We're expecting more pictures.   ;-)

Here's a "lost photo" from the Hendersonville, NC clan, Mr. Oliver in control.  This is the ultimate rope quality test.  Some last a few days, some no longer than it takes to yank the squeeker out of a squeekie toy.

We're still running late but want to announce the adoption of Miss Cinnamon Spice who's moved to Waynesboro, VA and is thinking about going into the daycare business with her new momma.   We're hoping for new pictures and wanted to pass along that Miss Lemon Drop misses her little bud.  They came into rescue together from a very bad situation and were "room mates" while here.   :-)

We're very pleased to announce that Elvis has been adopted and he's s VERY happy little guy. Logan is #1 in charge of looking after Elvis.  He has turned into a very special little family guy but we're hoping for new pictures.

For those following the "Great Pumpkin" from Tazewell, VA, all six puppies are now 9 weeks old and doing fine.  Momma dog, Beatrix Pumpkin is now sleek and trim and living happily in Louisville with her momma and daddy.   Here're some new pictures:

New pictures from the baby Mandy Lynn, up there in Virginia.   Look spoiled or what?  Somebody blinked when the picture was snapped in the middle picture.   Kids DO that ya know.......  Uncle CB and Aunt Linda miss this little kid.

A small footnote from her momma:

"We don't think she's going into the furniture business. As it turns out, she's interested in other animals quite a bit and might try her paw at Zoology. She's great friends with a gorilla we have in the house. (She doesn't know that Joe is a stuffed animal and we don't have the heart to tell her, she seems to enjoy playing with him so much). I tried to get a picture of her with him, but she turned camera shy when we got to that part, so I'll keep trying and get one to you when I can.
As for now, she's doing great and sends her love.  Audrey"

We're very pleased to announce the adoption of Mickey Blue Eye, a very handsome little guy who didn't stay long in the rescue.  In fact, we got an email from Mickey:

Hey Uncle Ron,

Mr. Britt let me send you a message on the computer. I met my new Mommy and Brother and Sister today. They seem to love me because they haven't stopped dotting on me since I met them. They took me to Pets Mart today and bought me a brand new huge kennel for night time. They also bought me a new harness and collar and leash too. They are great. Then they got me a new tag with my new address and phone number. Mr. Britt put that on me when I got home. My Mom also bought me a new soft bed for inside my kennel. I already had a nap on that after my bath. I think this will be a great place for me, because they sure do love on me a lot.

Oh yeah, I met my new doggie sisters too, they are big, but they let me sniff them and seem to like me. I think they will be good body guards since they are big and all. Oh well, gotta go, Casey and Bradley want to walk me again. I'll shoot ya an email sometime and let you know how I'm doing.

Bye for now,

Mr. Blue..

We're very pleased (although a little behind) to announce the adoption of Miss Jenny Lynn Rat Dog to a fine family.  Jenny is a sweet, dainty little girl, a typical Rat Terrier and we're hoping for pictures soon.

Well, we got a postcard from Mr. Tazer Tate and his momma and daddy Kristen and Jason. Seems Tazer Tate and family have moved to Chandler, AZ where it's kinda dry and there's not a lot of grass.   Tazer Tate's ok though, he's a special little Bostonian and he's happy anywhere when he's got his little family with him.

We have some "before" pictures of little Beatrix Pumpkin Pie to show off of this little momma dog who came from a shelter in Tazewell, VA with her kids.   Well, the kids are now 7 weeks old, on their own running around on the deck and Beatrix P is now happily in Louisville, KY with her new parents, Tonya and Robert.   We're expecting pictures, probably after she gets back her "girlish figure."

We have some happy news.   This is Kelso, a Boston Terrier/Chi mix puppy and until a day or two ago he was looking for a new home.   Then, just like magic, everybody realized that Kelso had already found his new forever home in Kennesaw Georgia. He is 5 mo. brindle, looks like a Boston terrier and is shy like a Chihuahua. He's very cute and sweet but shy at first.  His new momma's name is Andrea.  Abby West would be so happy too.

Boston World and the Boston Tea Room are greatly saddened this morning with the news of the passing of Abby West, Faithful Family Member, Assistant Boston Foster Mom and Perfect Judge of Human Character.   We all know the roles have simply changed, and it's her turn to watch over her family now.

We're very pleased to announce that little Miss Lemon Drop has been adopted and has relocated to Harrisonburg, VA where she's decided to go into social work with her new momma.  Lemon has always been keenly interested in others and their needs and we think this baby will be a great help to other kids in need.  Send pics, little girl.  ;-)

We're very pleased to announce that Mr. Sully puppy dog has been adopted and has moved to Dacula, GA where he's thinking about going into the financial business with his new momma.   Be sure to write, Sully Man, and send back pictures when you can.

Greetings from Middlesex, NC home of Tony and Tonya, Buddy Ray and Emmie.   Buddy's still a little bossy but what's a Boston to do?  Kong, anyone?

Guess what?   Some new pics of the fabulous Zokie from his momma Tara from a recent trip to Cabo San Lucas.  His Aunt Evelyn and Uncle David still miss this sweet "little" guy.

We have a new picture of Mr. Fin McCool, famous Irish chieftain.  He's very popular in the neighborhood, he's been on the news and he modeled dog clothes for USA TODAY.  He's a big dog now, he's 26 lbs, one of the biggest in the dog park!  MISTER DOG on the left, the baby Fin Fin on the right. Yup, it's the same pooch.

Ah yes............. sometimes there's just nothing better than hanging out with a few buds (maybe having a few Buds) on the river, sucking up a few rays and just being
